As I blow the dust off of my keyboard, I realize…it has been waaaaaay too long since I have written a blog post. Typically I would apologize for such a travesty BUT this has been a somewhat intentional break. In the past weeks, life has been moving at WARP SPEED. To catch y’all up on the highlights:

  • Fundraiser at my home church

  • Quit my job

  • First country announced…R O M A N I A

  • Vacation Bible School

  • Various trips to say final “goodbyes” to friends

  • Other things that I am choosing to keep close to the vest for the time being 🙂

ALL OF THAT to say…the past few months have been a whirlwind and in an attempt to remain present, I have stayed off of my devices.

Except for today. I am currently taking a break from my recent cycle of pack, travel, unpack, laundry, repeat. Today’s packing is slightly different. Instead of my hard cased carry-on, I am packing my pack…THE pack….Big Red…my snail shell for the next 11 months. Tomorrow starts TRAINING CAMP!!! While I am VERY EXCITED, I am also EXTREMELY nervous. All of the planning and anticipation is coming to a head in approximately 24 hours. I will finally be able to hug everyone I’ve been Zooming with over the past 6 months. Again, very exciting but nerve wracking. A constant response I have gotten after explaining that I don’t “know” anyone going on the trip is “Well…I hope you like ‘em!”. Well folks, after this next week of what I assume is roughing it, I’ll let ya know!

With all that being said, I still teeter on the edge of excitement/nervousness (ahhh, anxiety…my sweet spot). All jokes aside, I am curious to see what God has in store over the next few weeks AND in the coming year. Please continue to pray for me and my squad (#msquad) as we abandon our comfortable, familiar lives to proclaim the Gospel across the world. Until next time…(I pinky promise it will be sooner)

  1. You are so real, Love this sentence, “Please continue to pray for me and my squad (#msquad) as we abandon our comfortable, familiar lives to proclaim the Gospel across the world. Abandoning your comforts is part of what makes this trip so powerful. It’s going to be real, girl!

  2. I can’t wait!! And I have been praying some BIG prayers so I’m excited to see the Holy Spirit move in big, big ways over the next 11 months!
